Construction Insurance Application & Minimum Submission Times

Any project that requires the Owner to place the construction insurance that is reported to us AFTER the start of construction MAY NOT be able to be placed into the Construction Insurance Program and may require you as Owner to arrange the necessary insurance placement.  Please report projects to us well in advance of the Project Start Date.

Construction projects with an estimated value under $5 million should have the Contractor place the construction insurance.  The Contractor Insured "Risk Provisions" located on the Mandatory Contract Language (link to Mandatory Contract Language webpage) webpage include language requiring the Contractor to place the construction insurance.

Construction projects with an estimated value greater than $5 million, or where the Owner has contractually agreed to place the construction insurance, come through our office to have the construction insurance placed in the Construction Insurance Program.
